About

The Meijer Sports Complex opened in the late summer of 2014 and underwent expansion/upgrades in 2024-25 as part of the ‘Winning Streak for West Michigan” campaign. The complex currently has three quads of fields, a championship softball field and a championship baseball field — hosting weekend tournaments in partnership with tournament operators Game Day USA, USSSA, Blue Chip Softball, USA Softball, and others. In addition to the weekend play, the complex serves as the home field for Aquinas College’s baseball team, Forest Hills Eastern High School’s baseball team, and many local leagues. The Meijer Sports Complex is owned and operated by the West Michigan Sports Commission (WMSC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

The WMSC partners with Plainfield Charter Township to provide the Meijer Sports Complex as a park that is open to the public. As such, all patrons are expected to adhere to all Plainfield Twp. park regulations except where Meijer Sports Complex rules may supersede Plainfield Twp. park regulations.  Meijer Sports Complex fields are on a reservation basis only. As a part of the expansion, 20 new pickleball courts have been added to the complex. For any questions regarding these courts, please contact Brent Deuel at rockpbclub@gmail.com.
